After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Communications and Hispanic Studies in 2006, Harman starts at the bottom rung of the fashion industry, interning in the closet at Harper's Bazaar.
From there, she lands a full-time position at WKT Public Relations, servicing a variety of clients including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and their high-end line, The Row. Watching the luxe brand grown from "the perfect t-shirt" into a sophisticated and expansive collection, she recognizes her interest in documenting the bigger picture and leaves to pursue a career in style writing.
Stints at ELLE and as a stylist assistant to Annabel Tollman, Joe Zee and Mel Ottenberg inspire a reflective online journal, jBlog.
It's with jBlog that Harman finds her voice and becomes enamored with online media. As an assistant editor at People.com and PeopleStyleWatch.com, she brings her cultivated eye and sense of humor to everything she does. Along with two good friends, she is also the driving force behind hi.DEFF, a members-only club dedicated to fusing the "new guard" in fashion and media.
Most days she can be found in New York's West Village doing yoga with her dog Baxter, cruising around on two wheels or spilling things on her jacket collection.
